It was determined that a quorum of the Commission and a representative from each state was participating and Chairman Mae Schmidle called the meeting to order at 10:14 a.m. on Thursday, August 12, 1999.
C. Sloan, esq. explained that the purpose of the special meeting was to consider issues related to litigation and specifically to consider the escrow request in the Suiza matter.
Chairman Schmidle called for a motion to enter into executive session
Motion by Ron Newman/Second Powell Cabot
Moved to enter executive session to discuss pending litigation.
MOTION PASSED 6 TO 0
Exective Session terminated.
Motion by Bobby Starr/Second Debora Erb
Moved that the Commission adopt the order and statement of reason with the exception of the last sentence of Article 3, Page 1.
Discussion followed.
